Deenie's Last Day
Click on the pictures below for a larger view

Deenie and I got up early Friday morning to take a last walk around Podebrady before she had to leave for the airport. It was a beautiful day, and Adriana and Karel would soon be picking us up for the trip.

We took Deenie's luggage down to the parking lot of the Pension Fontana and met Karel and Adriana. The drive to the airport was pretty eventful and all too soon it was time to say good-bye to Deenie. She had been a wonderful friend and companion during her week here, and was a great help with Krystof. He really loved her....
After dropping Deenie off, we had plans to visit Terezin, a Nazi concentration camp in the Czech Republic during the Second World War. On the way Karel wanted to check out a small village where an old Rectory building was for sale.

There was also a small house on the property

Unfortunately both buildings on the property were in pretty bad shape, and at over a million crowns, it was just too expensive. The village was very nice though, and Adriana quickly checked out a couple of shops while we were there, looking for a present for KK.
Before long we were back on the road to Terezin. We stopped at the place below for a snack and directions.
